The sun was low in the sky, slowly setting. A lone cat walked through the middle of the road, dodging a few Twoleg Monsters here and there. The sky was painted many fiery colors, a few purples mixed in there. The lone cat had an angry look in his eyes, which were a yellow green. His face was pointed towards the ground as he leaped onto a sidewalk, watching as Twolegs darted back into their nests. He flicked his tail, looking angrily at each of the nests, a small flicker of hope at each one. He sighed, looking to the ground once more. At the end of the Thunderpath, at a dead end that led into the lake area, he stopped.
Tardis' eyes stopped looking angry, and he looked down to the ground. "Well, I guess I'll just have to come back tomorrow." He meowed, a sort of british accent in his voice. The tom looked up, shook himself, flicked his tail, and put a paw forward. He was about to move but something stopped him. Tardis turned around, rotating on three paws. "No, I think I'll spend the night here." He mewed quietly, a strange look in his eyes. Tardis was confused, something was telling him to stay, maybe a rumbling in his ears. He turned his head to the side, curious. Tardis put his paw down and sat, staring up the Thunderpath. Dirty gold-yellow eyes looked out at the horizon, visible between the many trees. Purples and reds darted the sky, mixing in with tones of orange and pink. A beautiful sunset. It would be better if she had someone to share it with. Someone close, like...Tardis. The memories of the brown tabby tom who she had grown quite fond of where still fresh, she had dreams every night of their old adventures, having to cross those mountains to get here and then, the final memories before her capture. A sigh drew from her lips and she turned, her steps graceful and delicate though she was quite tired from the endless walking. It had been a couple days since she had left the garden of the Twoleg nest.
She crept along a fence, rubbing her side against it as she walked. Finally she found herself clambering up its side, reaching the top she sat, dirty gold-yellow eyes surveying the yard. She had no idea where she was. Dropping down into the grass below she stalked, head swaying from one side to the other. There was a rumble coming from behind her, turning her head her pupils turned large and round with fear, a large bulldog was standing behind her, snarling and baring its fangs. Rose darted across the yard, the dog close behind her, yipping wildly. The bulldog let out a yelp as he was yanked back by his chain. Rose didn't take notice as she leaped the fence, in turn landing on the sidewalk.
She did a sort of barrel roll, knocking in to something when she stopped. Jumping up she hissed, her back curved, fur raised and her tail fluffed out. She spat, eyes narrowing into slits. The thing was a cat, and it was strangely very familiar to her. The scent flooded into her flaring pink nostrils, it clicked, memories rushing back into her mind, flipping like pages in a book. Her body began to relax, getting out of its tense state. A tear rolled down her ginger-white cheek, dropping silently onto the pavement.
".....Tardis?"

Tardis felt something rolling into him. He immediatley stood and swerved around, hissing. "Hey, Watch it!" He spat, showing his fangs. His nostrils were flaring when he caught the scent. It couldn't be, she was gone. "R..Rose?" Tardis' eyes widened. She was..No, She is, perfectly fine. The tom remained motionless, looking into those yellow-gold eyes and drinking in the scent he missed so much. Rose was back. She wasn't gone. "I can't belive it's you!" He exclaimed, surprised. Tardis' face grew into a large smile, looking her over. He frowned, stopping at the collar. "We'll have to get rid of that eventually, won't we, eh?" His face regained the smile, moving closer to his lost friend.
"Where've you been making your home? I've come pass here so many times, only to find out you weren't here. And, now you are..Brilliant. Just brilliant." Tardis happily flicked his tail, moving closer and closer to Rose, until he was right beside her. "We'll need some time to catch up." He continued to smile, overjoyed at finding his friend. Tardis remembered how he had gotten her out, using his teeth to undo Martha and Rose's latches. It had hurt his teeth, but he had eventually focused on just getting away. The toothache had lasted for a few days. But he didn't care. After getting away, Rose and Him had traveled a long while, happily free and careless. Then she had been captured, leaving Tardis alone. After that, he had remained here and hoped. And here she was. Character: The Doctor, AKA Tardis, A Loner. Words: 252 Comments: Woo, Gettin into that, lol.

"Hey, Watch it!" "R..Rose?"
She really couldn't believe her eyes. The same old Tardis was standing before her? Wait, Tardis had an accent like her own. The ginger-and-white she-cat lowered her head, slightly tilted to side as she stared at him. He looked so familiar, it had to be him, the scent didn't lie. Hearing him speak she smiled, the same accent as well. This was Tardis. The same Tardis. He looked no different than the last time she saw him. "...Tardis...." she continued to cry a little, happy tears of joy.
"I can't belive it's you!" "We'll have to get rid of that eventually, won't we, eh?"
Rose sat down on her bum, chuckling softly. She looked down, seeing the tattered red collar. Oh yeah, this stupid thing. She lifted a hind leg and started clawing at it a few times. "Yeah, this bloody thing just doesn't seem to come off, its loose but not enough to slip over my head," she grumbled softly, before lowering her white paw. Her long white whiskers twitched in amusement, remembering when he had saved her and Martha. She wondered what was happening with Martha, maybe she had found someone special or was happy with Twolegs...or something.
"Where've you been making your home? I've come pass here so many times, only to find out you weren't here. And, now you are..Brilliant. Just brilliant." "We'll need some time to catch up."
"I...I don't know, the twolegs further down that way, away from the main path..." she meowed, pointed in the direction with her paw. "A kind tortie let me sleep in her garden, I finally found a way to the main road just today," Rose replied, the gray tortie had also asked her a million questions about herself, but Rose didn't mind much. She nodded her head, "Yeah, we should find a safe spot, there are stray dogs around here, they aren't fond of us cats," she stated, looking around suspiciously, was one hiding in a bush or something? Or around a bend?

The tom smiled at Rose, Only really paying attention about the collar. Tardis blinked and shook his head. "What? Oh, Yeah, We do need a place to rest. We can get that collar off there." The loner slowly walked around the bend, flicking with his tail to direct her. The place he had found was right against a Twoleg wall, sheltered by a large bush with just enough room underneath for a few cats to stand. It was nicely cozy, and the leaves and moss below made it quite comfortable. "Alright, Come here Rose." Tardis had an idea, and he was pretty sure it would work. At least, he really hoped it would. There was a 50/50 chance.
The idea was that when Rose came close enough, he would see if it had a latch. Depending on what kind, all he had to do was bite down hard. The other idea, if the latch wasn't what he hoped, nibbling every now and then and slowly getting it off. Tardis didn't want her to end up found again, that thing would make it seem like she was a Kittypet. The loner had a bad picture in his mind, thinking of that one section. He flicked his tail absentmindedly, thinking of other ways he could get it off. There wasn't many ways. Tardis shook his head again, trying to clear away those thoughts. It didn't matter, as long as he got it off.

"What? Oh, Yeah, We do need a place to rest. We can get that collar off there."
Rose lifted her head, dirt-gold colored eyes looking off in his direction. She walked after him with that built in grace, paws were picked up delicately, as if they would break if she stepped to hard. Her head was turned, eyes flickering about, watching their 'backs' if you will, she was. Ginger ears flickered back as she faced her head forward, turning the bend she stopped, lightly rubbing against the fence. She blinked, seeing the bush a couple rabbit-lengths away. That was the place? It was better than being out in a storm.
"Alright, Come here Rose."
The ginger-and-white she-cat gave a nod of her head, walked towards the bush that would shelter them for now. She sniffed at it, most scents were stale, as if cats have gone through this bush like wild forest fire. She drew closer to Tardis, "How exactly do you plan on getting this...thing here off? Like you did those latches?" Rose remembered that, she remembered most things. Picking up a paw she clutched the collar, tugging at it with her claws. It was just a little to tight. She would breathe a lot easier without this blasted thing on anyway. Letting out a sigh she stood shoulder to shoulder with Tardis, though leaving a bit of a space between them.

Tardis flicked his tail at her rump to get her to lie down, and he did himself. He gave a nod. "Yep, And I have another plan if that doesn't work." His voice became slowly calm and soothing. "Alright, lie still. I don't want to end up biting your neck." He began to turn the collar around, looking for the latch. There was one, but it wasn't the one he needed. Tardis cursed under his breath then continued. He kept turning it until he found a spot where she had been able to claw through it a bit. A little more and she would've had it. Tardis mused, smiling a little. He began to nibble on that worn area, stopping every now and then until he felt his teeth meet his lip painfully."Owowowowowowow!" He spat quickly, licking his teeth. "That hurt!" Tardis flicked his tail angrily, then continued.
He kept at it for a while, until only a little was left. "Alright, Rose. Now you can just claw away, right about.." He began to pinpoint it for her. "Here. It's close to coming off, just keep scratching." The tom then moved away to give her some room and settled down next to the wall. He yawned, honestly wishing he could raid a dumpster of those Nofurs and get something good to eat. Tardis had always found something good in the back of the fishy-smelling place in the town, and the fired fresh-kill place wasn't too bad either. I'll have to tell Rose. We can go out for a good meal sometime. The tom smiled to himself, making a mental note and already planning it out. It shouldn't be too hard. Just stand there and look cute. Tardis absentmindedly began to lick his paw, feeling drowsy. He curled his tail around and lay his head down on his paws. I'll just..rest my eyes..

Rose steadily lowered herself onto her stomach, she hope he could get this stupid thing off. At least it didn't have a bell, she already took care of that problem. Her ginger ears flickered forth, and she left her neck exposed to him.
"Yep, And I have another plan if that doesn't work." "Alright, lie still. I don't want to end up biting your neck."
Rose did as she was told. She didn't want an accident to happen all of a sudden. She dug her claws nervously into the earth below, clawing up the dirt a bit before she finally relaxed. The she-cat felt him turning the collar, it shifted quietly around her neck as he searched for whatever he was looking for. She relaxed a bit more, not as nervous as she was. Was there really a reason to be? She waited patiently, she couldn't wait to feel the wind in the fur that had been held down by the blasted collar. Dirt-gold yellow eyes narrowed then finally closed. She felt his breath on her neck and the sound of soft chewing.
"Owowowowowowow!" "That hurt!"
Her ears twitched, and she turned her head, wondering what had happened. Had he bit to hard? Did he bite himself? A little chuckle, barely audible at that came from the ginger-and-white she-cat. She turned her head, letting him continue on with it. She felt the collar loosen tremendously, but it wasn't off.
"Alright, Rose. Now you can just claw away, right about.." "Here. It's close to coming off, just keep scratching."
Rose immediately lifted a hind leg, claws unsheathed she tugged at the area. The collar slowly began to slide down her neck, and with a final rip the collar slid off, landing in a pile on the ground. She sniffed at it, lips curling into a sneer. Picking the collar up in her mouth she tossed it aside, it hit the fence then dropped into the grass below. Rose began licking the out of place neck fur. A soft purr of happiness rumbled in her throat. Once done she turned to Tardis. "Thank you... she muttered softly, yet he was fast asleep. Letting out a sigh she began to curl up, her purr growing a tad louder, but the rumbling could put little kittens to sleep. "If only you knew..." she muttered softly before letting out a yawn and drifting of to a comfortable sleep.

He woke to the sounds of crickets chirping in the middle of the night. Starlight was shining beautifully through the leaves of the bushes. Tardis looked to Rose, sleeping close to him in a heap of white and orange fur. He gave a small smile and gave her a tiny lick where her collar had been, then walked out of the bushes. He loved coming out in the dark, when the stars were at their brightest and everything seemed calm and quiet. Besides the crickets. Tardis was silent as he made his way out, looking up at the waning moon, which had been full only days before. It shone very brightly still, illuminating every blade of grass. Tardis sighed. It was nice to finally have Rose back, but something felt..almost wrong. Maybe it was being close to Twolegplace, after losing his Twoleg. His entire family was gone, and there was no getting them back. But he had Rose back. That was reason to be happy, wasn't it? Having a long lost friend returning? It must be good to have her back, but it still felt strange. Eh, I'll get used to it after a while. His stomach grumbled. Oh, Might as well hunt for the two of us while I'm awake.
Tardis could smell mice, they were nearby. Being careful to remain upwind, Tardis leaped onto one and whipped around for the other before it got away. He killed them both quickly, the sun was rising. Tardis picked the two mice up and returned to Bush Haven, pulling them under. "Rose? Hey, Rose! I got us some breakfast." He meowed loudly, trying to wake his companion.

Her sleep was filled with starlight. Strange how that was. Rose found herself standing in the middle of a field, there was rumbling beneath her. Thick trees shot up from beneath the ground, sending debris everywhere. Strangely she was unharmed. Ginger-helmeted cranium was swung from side to side, dirt-gold yellow eyes wide, pupils expanding with fear. There was some giggling, it echoed throughout the forest. She swallowed staring at a brown-and-white tabby cat, her blue eyes sparkling like starlight, mixed in with the great Silverpelt. The kit turned and ran a few rabbit-lengths before stopping to look back at Rose. The earth began to move again, seperating, she let out a yelp as she was sent tumbling down into a black abyss, she didn't land though.
"Rose? Hey, Rose! I got us some breakfast."
The familiar voice woke her from her dream like state. Her eyes droopy with sleep, muzzle slightly agape as she let out a yawn. Her fur was slightly fluffy, she was probably tussling a few good times before becoming still. Spying the mice she licked her lips. Might as well eat. "Mm...that looks good..." she purred softly while stretching out, her muscles relaxing from the good stretch. The dream was still fresh in her mind. Where did that abyss go? And who was that kit? She had a star-filled pelt which was quite odd. Stars....what did stars have to do with anything? Didn't the clans have something to do with stars?
