"FOOOX! Fox are attacking the caaaamp!" the loud shouts had alerted most of the camp. Chamomilepaw let out a suprised mewl as she dashed up from her moss-bed. The rest of the apprentices followed her out. Large, lean, red creatures burst down into the hollow. She couldn't believe her eyes. She spotted Ripplestar, and immediately came to her side, along with the deputy, Stoneear, a large gray tabby, and not only that, but Ripplestar's beloved mate.
"Stoneear, I trust you will lead my warriors with much passion, Chamomilepaw will assist me in partner-fighting....go!" the color-pointed (siamese mix) she-cat hissed, Stoneear nodded, and rushed to pull the ranks together and drive these beasts out. Ripplestar and Chamomilepaw stood side-by-side, lashing out at any fox that crossed their path. Soon, they were up front, the entire clan surrounding their sides and backs. The leader was coming now, a large fox, the largest they had ever seen. Battle-scarred, torn ears, holes from where teeth and possibly those shiny human pellets (bullets) penetrated.
Chamomilepaw dashed, pouncing and attaching herself to its shoulder, hind paws kicking to try and cause some damage. The fox rolled, and she immediately let go, using the fox as a trampoline to jump away. Pain slithered up in huge doses, the d**n fox had slashed at her hind leg, leaving four claw marks. She hissed, stumbling away from him. She saw Ripplestar and some other senior warriors come, and a body close to where she was laying. She pawed at it a couple of times, the head rolled to her direction.
Stoneear! His throat was torn, and blood was everywhere. She screamed out, stumbling back. The dead cat rose, hissing and spitting, and he finally lunged at her.....
A yowl pierced the air, coming from the Sky Oak. A ginger head popped out from where the old rabbit burrow once was. Two white paws, slightly famous, brought her out. A lanky figure appeared, bright blue eyes scanning the area for signs of danger. Badgers, foxes...twolegs. She let out a sigh, tears had dampened her cheeks. Stoneear was dead...how could he? Was it a sign? A sign of danger? Of course the dead couldn't rise...but it was a bad omen. Licking her lips she let out a sigh. Stoneear had Ripplestar's beloved. They had already started talking about kits and such, Ripplestar's beloved line did not end though, even if she wished to continue it with Stoneear. The gray tabby had been missed by all. She shuddered at the thoughts of the horrid dream...reliving that experiance...Chamomilestar shook her head, tail twitching she she settled herself onto one of the mighty tree's roots.
'....I wonder what it is like...to have a loving mate...and to experiance having kittens...' she laid her head on her white paws, licking them carefully. She had not been out of the camp long, and such thoughts of family had always come to her. She loved playing with new kits, ones who are old enough to play with, and accompanying a mentor or two sometimes. She loved watching the futures of the clan grow. To watch a small, soft kit-muscled cat to grow into a broad, lean or well-built, warrior. With intelligence, speed, agility, hunting abilities. She licked her lips again, as thoughts went to hunting and food. The rustle of grass alerted her. She jumped, ready to fight, when she saw it was merely a rabbit. Grinning, she carefully prowled off of the root and towards the area of grass.
Her tail was held still, as she was carefuly not to make a sound. Her paws were soundless, her ears twitched to hear the sounds of the moving grass. Finally, with tension high, she pounced, possibly scaring the rabbit, as she sped after it. Taking another pounce, something happened. Her vision went, leaving her nothing to see but black abyss, she let out a yowl of shock before her body hit the ground hard, tumbling. Once she was still, she just laid there, unsure of what to do. She had a very scratches, and her shoulder was bleeding only a little. 'Wha....what happened? Why can't I....ugh....see anything?' Shock and fear, mixed was bad, and suddenly, she blacked out, and was a still light ginger area in the grass.

Silverpaw had set off for the Thunderclan camp from the mouth of the Moonpool Stream. The sun was high in the sky by now, and after going through her exhausting ordeal with the stream, she had started to wish that she had either had more sleep the night before or taken a catnap before coming out to the Thunderclan camp. Although it was midday and the sun beat down on her back, Silverpaw still felt the chill of the streamwater flowing by her. She still felt the quick current suck all heat away from her body, filtering through her fur, chilling her to the core. She still felt the pain of her paws scraping the rocks at the bottom of the stream, felt some of her precious crimson liquid being lost to the lake. Silverpaw shivered despite the time of day, and hoped she would not get greencough because of it.
Her strides were not as entergetic as they should have been at this age, and the reason was apparent if a cat took one look at her. Not having learned how to hunt properly before being weaned, her ribs were clearly visible beneath her thick fur. Her fur hung off her bones like moss hanging from a tree. Pausing for a moment, Silverpaw took another look at herself before continuing on to the camp. She sighed as she looked at her bedraggled appearance. How was she supposed to make a good first impression looking like this? Despite looking as mangy as some rogue cat, however, she didn't really look that bad. Her teeth and claws were in as good a shape as ever, having taken meticulous care of them her entire life. Her pelt was smooth and as sleek as it would ever get in this state, and no smell of Twolegs clung to her. She would have to play to her strengths to impress the leaders of the Clan.
Silverpaw jumped a mile when she heard a yowl shatter the air like a hammer would glass. The glass of silence fell down on her ears, hammering at her eardrums and forcing her to pull them painfully back so they would not get hurt. Her ears buzzed when the yowling stopped. She recognized it as a young she-cat's yowl. 'Perhaps I will not need to look good in order to make a good first-impression?' she thought. If there was some kind of battle going on, she would rely more on skill than on appearance. However, the thought of a battle filled her with anxiety. She hadn't been properly trained yet - which was part of the reason she was here, so she could continue her education in survival - so her fighting style would probably look very sloppy compared to that of any of the Clan cats. Oh, well. She would have to try.
She switched direction, heading towards the place where she had heard the yowling rather than that of the ThunderClan camp. Her heart hammered with the anticipation of a battle and the speed of her running. Silverpaw was the definition of flat-out running, being completely stretched out when her paws were not in contact with the ground. When she reached SkyOak, she slid to a stop and crouched, eyes scanning the ground for any sign of a battle. Apparently she had gotten her hopes up for nothing. The only thing she could see was a sand-colored tabby with white paws (?) chasing after a rabbit. Silverpaw couldn't deny that she was disappointed - if a battle had been going on, perhaps she would have been able to prove herself worthy of being in ThunderClan. However, she would have been much more excited if she had known that the she-cat she was gazing upon was the leader herself.
In mid-pounce, the she-cat let out a frightened yowl and tumbled a few times before laying motionless on the ground. This left Silverpaw utterly baffled. What had happened that would cause that? Her eyes widened in fear and hopefulness. Could this be a chance to prove her worth? She bounded forwards until she was at the side of the she-cat. Suddenly, her heart rate sped up and her jaw dropped. Silvepaw couldn't deny that being in the presence of a great warrior of ThunderClan awed her, and the thought that she might become one someday filled her with wide-eyed wonder. However, she couldn't focus on that right now - she had to think of how she could help the warriors she so looked up to. She pressed her ear against the she-cat's chest. Her heart was still beating, so she was still alive. 'Thank goodness,' she thought to herself. It looked as though she had just been knocked out. After a few moments of hesitation, Silverpaw started licking her face, hoping she would soon wake up.

"Chamomilepaw, since of your mentor's bad actions, I shall switch mentors for you," Ripplestar purred, there was a sense of happiness in her. Something that made Chamomilepaw curious to what it was. She was anxious to know who her new mentor would be. "Chamomilepaw, I shall be your new mentor," the mighty she-cat exclaimed, running her tail along the younger cat's shoulder, smiling ever so softly. Suddenly Chamomilepaw felt bigger, and she was laying down. Ripplestar was standing over her, gently nudging the she-cat's shoulder.
"Wake up Chamomilestar....wake up..."
There was something rough, but all in all gentle touching her face repeatedly. She groaned, baby blue eyes opening, the abyss was gone, leaving her the sight she always had, clear and crisp. The rest of her body began to stirr a bit, when she finally realized that something was awfully strange. Someone was licking her face, and she had finally realized that this someone was a cat, much younger than she was, probably apprentice age. Her ears twitched, the she-cat smelt of water and the wild. Pushing away from the young cat Chamomilestar sat up, and shock came as she saw the young she-cat's condition. 'I can't believe how thin this young she-cat is in! Even with such a thick coat I can see her ribs!' she has seen thin cat's before, but usually not so young. Chamomilestar studied her for a couple more minutes, silver with white muzzle, and such interesting eyes!
"I thank you for staying with me...I don't know what happened....eh...but the important thing right now is you, are you out here by yourself? Where are you parents? Are you hungry?" it seemed like a bit of her maternal instincts were coming out, but she was so worried about the young she-cat. Chamomilestar sniffed at her face, there was no scent of two-legs, so she was definately either a rogue or a loner. Her ears flickered back as she sniffed at the silver she-cats side. Chamomilestar would bring her to camp, even if she said no. There she can be looked after properly, and maybe even join the clan if that was the young cat's wish.
"I am Chamomilestar, leader of ThunderClan, and you are?" the young ginger she-cat had forgotten about introducing herself to the young stranger. She raised one of her white frontpaws, her frontpaws were the only white ones, her hind paws were ginger, like the rest of her body. Giving the paw a lick she brought it over her face. She paused for a moment, staring at the paw then at the she-cat. Chamomilestar leaned forward, bringing her muzzle to the she-cat's face to lick it, and probably groom her. It was Momma Chammy at work!

As the she-cat groaned, Silverpaw backed off slightly to give her some room. She sat a few inches away and tilted her head, still concerned about the Thunderclan warrior. However, when she got up and backed slightly away from her, she allowed herself to exhale in relief. She registered the shock on the warrioress's face as she looked at Silverpaw's mangy appearance, and she once again felt hot shame creep down her spine as she realized how unpresentable she looked. This was a ThunderClan Warrior she was face-to-face-to, and she looked like a mess! She probably smelled like one too. At least she didn't have any kittypet smell on her. If that were so, the warrior would probably take her back to the Twolegplace.
As the warrior studied her appearance, she had time to study the warrior's. Her pelt was a ginger color, and her front paws were white. Her eyes were such a wonderful blue, and Silverpaw felt she could lose herself while staring into them. However, if she did that, she would probably be embarrassed enough to throw herself into the lake. And then the warrioress spoke. Her eyes widened again at her words. Silverpaw, some random loner, was being thanked by a warrior of ThunderClan! For Silverpaw, this was practically a religous experience, having just about worshipped ThunderClan warriors during her kithood. It was probably the most amazing thing she had ever heard.
And then the warrior went on to talk about Silverpaw's own well-being. The edge of her cheek fur was tainted with red at this. She hoped she hadn't made the warrior feel as if she was in her debt. Even if she was, the experience of being in her presence alone would probably be enough to repay it in full. Hopefully she hadn't lost her voice entirely, and would be able to respond to her questions. After clearing her throat a few times, she was able to speak. "I am alone, yes. My parents matter not, as I have put that behind me. I-" She had been about to ask if she might be able to join the Clan, but two things stopped her. The first was that she wasn't sure how exactly to ask it of her, and would have to think of her words before she said them. However, the main thing that stopped her voice in its tracks was what she said next.
This was no ordinary ThunderClan warrior. This was the leader herself.
If she hadn't been speechless before, she certainly was now. Her jaw dropped, and her normally almond-shaped eyes were perfectly round as she stared up at Chamomilestar. 'This is the leader of ThunderClan?' she thought in amazement. This was the cat that she had practically worshipped ever since she had decided to join ThunderClan over RiverClan. It was probably a few seasons before Silverpaw finally responded to what she had asked. "I-I'm Silverpaw," she stuttered, her voice shaking as much as her heart, which was pounding against her ribs. She didn't have the breath to say anything else.

Hawkpaw glanced slowly around the slowly moving trees, swaying with the lightly in a quite and small breeze. Hawkpaw had just gone out to do some hunting. She still didn't have very good hunting skills, bu t they were enough to fill the stomach of her and those of her clan.
Hawkpaw slowly raised her head, every scense of her body alert. She opened her mouth, and let in a quick but silent breath. A whirwind of scents flowed into the mouth, on after another, so quickly. An untrained cat might not be able to deal with all this, but Hawkpaw was not untrained. There was a scent of a mouse, not at all far from hear, along with the scent of a flock of birds. Good prey. Hawkpaw would go for the mouse first.
Hawkpaw quickly and with little efort found the little creature. He was sitting on a branch, nibbling on a nut. This was so easy. How could she miss this? She quickly and as silently as posible ducked down. The mouse glanced around in mild alarm and then returned to it's eating. Hawkpaw raised her paws moving herself forward slowly but surely, and finnally, close enough, Hawkpaw reared up and, with all the power that she could bring into her back legs, jumped up for it.
The creature tried to scurry away, but it was too late, Hawkpaw had dug her claws into it and bit the tiny creature, killing it. Hawkpaw picked up her trophy. She really tired, and bring a bit of prey back to camp is better then nothing.
Hawkpaw began to carry to prey back to camp. She was going along the lake, which was a path that she enjoyed taking. She liked to look out into the lake at the lightly rippling water. She was nearing the Sky Oak. This was a great tree to practice climbing. Maybe she should for a bit. As Hawkpaw came closer, se noticed two cats there. Hawkpaw though that it would be a bit rude to walk in on them, so she hid behind a nearby tree to listen.
